Balchik Palace
"My whole life I have dreamt of such a place thinking one could only find it in Italy, yet here in Balchik it is."
- Queen Marie of Romania
Once built by Maria Regina as a seaside solace amidst her tumultuous marriage to King Ferdinand I, the Balchik Palace is now home to a beautiful combination of Balkan architectural styles, lush gardens and dreams of lovesick modern princes and princesses.

Chapel Stella Maris
Our church wedding ceremony will take place in the Balchik Palace complex, at the Stella Maris Chapel. When Queen Marie fell sick in 1938, her last wish was to have her heart placed in a gold casket and carried to the palace's chapel. It remained there until it was transported to Bran Castle in Romania after Balchik became part of Bulgaria in 1940.
We will see you there at 16:00.

Nymphaeum
A minute's walk away from the Stella Maris Chapel is the Nymphaeum, or the "Water Garden". While the ivy may attempt to hide its beautiful archways and tranquil pond, palace visitors seeking serenity are immediately drawn its way.
And we will see you there at 16:30 for our
romantic ritual and cocktail.

Salt & Pepper
Restaurant
Situated between the Palace complex and the Black Sea is our restaurant, "Salt & Pepper". We will bring you a taste of Bulgarian culture with a late summer sunset backdrop.
You are welcome here at 19:00.
